Join us for a lunch-time featuring Dr. Ula Urszula Chowaniec, a teacher at Paideia Folkhögskola, and singer Anne Kalmering. Together, they are the creative minds behind the project "Lider: Musical Tributes," where they transform poems from two of the most prominent Yiddish women writers, Celia Dropkin and Kadia Molodowski, into captivating songs.

Ula (Urszula) Chowaniec, Ph.D. Lecturer in Polish Studies at Lund University and a Professor at the Andrzej Frycz-Modrzewski Cracow University in Poland. She lives in Stockholm and also lectures Jewish Women’s Literature at the Paideia Folkhögskola.
Anne Kalmering is a renowned artist known for her captivating performances spanning both Ashkenazi and Sephardic musical traditions. Her versatile repertoire includes singing in Yiddish, Ladino, and Hebrew, making her a multifaceted talent in the world of Jewish music. Anne is celebrated as one of Scandinavia's most beloved performers of Jewish music and holds a prominent position as a cultural ambassador for Jewish heritage in Sweden.
